~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Check out what's new with Scrappy Gifts! Find out things you might not have known about this site all in the post below.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next Online Crop at my Blog Frog Community- July 16th-20th. Let me know if you'd like to be a sponsor or offer a prize!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Link up your scrapbook projects - doesn't just have to be layouts for Scrappy Saturdays! You have until Thursday, June 10th to link up your scrapbook projects. (I decided to do that since Saturdays are busy days for people to spend time with family and get errands done.) Then on Friday, June 11th I'll do a post sharing my favorites from Scrappy Saturday- Friday Favorites!
Here are my scrapbook projects that I've been working on: First Year of Marriage Scrapbook: 52 8x8 pages. Calendar pages and questions with regular scrapbook layouts in between.
The customer ordered it as a surprise for his bride so I blurred some of the pages just in case she's a follower. They're Jewish so I had to learn some things about Chanukah and Passover to incorporate into their scrapbook. I'm glad that I can show just how customizable my products can be!
Let me know what you think!
Rules:
  1. Grab our party button below so everyone can get in on the fun.
    OR
    Be a follower of Scrappy Gifts - I will follow you if you link up and I will leave a comment on your scrapbook project. =D I'd love if you left a comment about mine, but not mandatory.
  2. Include your name and the name of your site.
  3. Link to your specific post, not the main page of your blog.
Here are my scrapbook projects that I've been working on: Scrappy Canvases
This one was to match wedding colors.
This was one to match a room. I took pictures of their pillows and cropped them in photoshop since they were smooth. The stripes was another pillow copy, but I added some more scrapbook paper on top of it to make it stand out more.
6x6 Father's Day Scrapbook
The customer had me do a page for every year starting with 2009.
I'm guessing every Father's Day she'll put a picture on the page.
What a creative idea!
NEW!
So here are all the guesses about what is new about the site.....
  • The Scrappy Society referring to my Blog Frog Community
  • The price and winner's lists!
  • 2 new sponsors
  • products are sold in boutiques
  • 3-column layout
  • A new ad?
  • A new header image?
  • A new button?
  • drop menu
  • can take paypal
  • twitter button or the link on your menu bar to your CMD blog
  • website not blogspot
The NEW thing ABOUT the site: Scrappy Gifts is no longer blogspot! I think all the changes have officially been made and you should all be automatically directed to http://www.scrappy-gifts.com/ now as the url. There will still be some changes as I figure out what having a website can offer.
So Congrats to Stephanie J. and Janene P. for guessing correctly! Both of you will be receiving a prize. Janene, yours is already packed with the rest of your stuff - about to be shipped tomorrow. Stephanie J.- Please e-mail me at ScrappyDiva2129 at yahoo dot com or I will contact you through FB.
There are a couple New things ON the site as of this week:
  • Newer Button - square instead of rectangle (but I don't like it as much so changes are still in the process with that. So don't grab a new button quite yet.)
  • Social Network Icons - top right sidebar
  • 2 new Sponsors - Take a Mom's Word for It and Amanda's 31 Blog
New things as of Last couple of Weeks:
  • Basic Pricing on left sidebar
New things as of this Year-last 6 months:
  • Menu Bar above header - not many notice it because that's where blogger navigation usually is - check out though please! I'm trying to figure out how to move it. The lady who made it said that's how she makes them to be there....
  • The Scrappy Society, my Blog Frog Community - home of fabulous online crops! Next one is July 16th- July 20th. Let me know if you'd like to be a sponsor or offer a prize!
  • Products being sold locally at Brittany Rae's Boutique
OLD stuff - sorry guys - but it's okay especially if you're new to my site.
  • 3 column layout
  • header image (I did change it once, but it confused people thinking that it was a menu bar on it)
  • taking PayPal
Since I love my fans and followers - any who made a guess, can have a little prize too - just e-mail me at ScrappyDiva2129 at yahoo dot com - so hopefully you've read all this and discovered more things on my site. Feel free to make any suggestions to make my site better!
Friday Favorites #17
Don't forget a prize will go to someone who can guess what's new about my site. If more than one person guess correctly then I'll randomly draw a winner. You can make up to 3 guesses. I'll announce the winner later on this evening. Have fun searching =D
Leave a comment on this post with your guesses or on my FB Fan Page.
Then on Friday, June 11th I'll do a post sharing my favorites from Scrappy Saturday- Friday Favorites!
Here are my scrapbook projects that I've been working on:
This layout I made for the Pampering Divas' Pampered Challenge. It was probably the most difficult challenge, I've ever tried.
  • 1 found item --non scrapbook related. Find something around your house that you would never think to use on a layout. Examples: fabric; doilies; notebook paper; pencil; crayon; kids tiny toys; juice bag (capri sun); shoelaces; clothing tags; jewelry; etc.
  • 2 different shapes--you must use 2 and only 2 different shapes. Do not count a flower as a circle or a photo as a rectangle, that sort of thing. Example: cut squares, circles, rectangles from paper as accent pieces
  • 3 assorted designer papers--choose 3 coordinating patterned papers. You may use cardstock as a base or mats for photos. These papers can be any size; any color
  • 4 assorted embellies--you MUST use 4 different embellies. Use 4 flowers, 4 brads, 4 stickers, etc or mix and match, as long as it's only 4.
  • 5 lines of journaling (for cardmakers--use 5 lines of a sentiment inside the card)
This layout I made for the Pampering Divas' Rainbow Challenge.
This layout I made for the Pampering Divas' H.O.T. Challenge
H-Hidden journaling (2 pictures to show the hidden journaling)
O- one picture
T - Thickers or letter stickers
Here are ones from my son's scrapbook. His scrapbook is current again! Woo hoo!
These layouts both use buttons. So I'm linking them up to Yellow Umbrella's Weekly Scrapbook Challenge to use buttons this week.
This layout I also used for the Pampering Divas' Stars and Stripes Challenge.
This layout I used for the Pampering Divas' Recipe Challenge.
  • 1 piece of fiber
  • 4 brads
  • 3 primary colors
  • 1 shape such as a circle, square, rectangle, star or heart
  • 2 different printed papers
  • and at least 2 pictures
